The Blakely Hotel was originally built in 1929 as a residential apartment building known as The Gorham. The Gorham was designed in the classic Art Deco style by architects Buchman & Kahn, and it was one of the tallest buildings in the neighborhood at the time.


In the early 2000s, the building was converted into a luxury hotel and renamed The Blakely Hotel. The hotel was designed to evoke the classic elegance of New York City's Golden Age, with a focus on providing a sophisticated and comfortable experience for guests.
